CQC check whether hospitals, care homes, GPs, dentists and services in your home are meeting national standards.
They do this by inspecting services and publishing their findings, helping people to make choices about the care they receive.

The Essex Safeguarding Children Board aims to keep children and young people in the county safe from harm, particularly those who are most vulnerable, and tries to ensure that they feel secure, well cared for, and able to reach their full potential.
Essex Safeguarding Adults Board
The Essex Safeguarding Adults Board (ESAB) raises awareness and promotes the welfare of vulnerable adults by the development of an effective co-operative. This group of people come from a wide range of public and voluntary services and other organisations and is committed to ensuring that the work is done effectively brings about good outcomes for adults.
