You can call them for anything from straightforward information and advice about the abuse and the safety of the more vulnerable adults in Essex; to the disclosure of a specific concern about your own safety of somebody that you know. Should you wish to report maltreatment of an adult in Essex they will take your concern seriously and ensure that it is investigated appropriately.
Care Quality Commission
CQC check whether hospitals, care homes, GPs, dentists and services in your home are meeting national standards.
They do this by inspecting services and publishing their findings, helping people to make choices about the care they receive.
Essex Safeguarding Children Board
The Essex Safeguarding Children Board aims to keep children and young people in the county safe from harm, particularly those who are most vulnerable, and tries to ensure that they feel secure, well cared for, and able to reach their full potential.
Essex Safeguarding Adults Board
The Essex Safeguarding Adults Board (ESAB) raises awareness and promotes the welfare of vulnerable adults by the development of an effective co-operative. This group of people come from a wide range of public and voluntary services and other organisations and is committed to ensuring that the work is done effectively brings about good outcomes for adults.
Havering Safeguarding Children Board
The safety of children is Havering Local Safeguarding Children Board's overarching priority. All agencies are committed to raising safeguarding standards and improving outcomes for all the children of Havering.
Havering Safeguarding Adults Board
In response to the 'No Secrets' report published by the Department of Health in 2000, the Havering Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) was established. It is a non-statutory Board made up of senior representatives from all the Statutory Agencies, including the Local Authority, Health Trusts, Police, Probation and Fire and Rescue service; its objective is to protect and safeguard vulnerable adults at risk from abuse in Havering.
Community Mental Health Team
A Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) is made up of different mental health professionals from health and social care backgrounds that work together to help you get better from a mental illness.
