Training

KTM Care Ltd are committed to ensuring that staff provide a good quality service to the people we support by making sure they receive a high standard of training, induction and supervision. We aim to encourage our staff to make the most of learning opportunities to realise their own personal potential.

The aims of KTM Care Ltd in relation to training and development are: 

• To meet and maintain the Care Quality Commission’s standards and regulations, as well as continuing to provide a high-quality standard of care support to the service users’ and commissioners.
• Each staff member understands what his or her work role involves and are trained to become sufficiently experienced to be able to competently and effectively undertake their assigned activities and responsibilities.
• Each staff member is supported with continuing professional development to improve their abilities and the over-all performance of the company.
• Staff are prepared and equipped to deal with the growth and changes in KTM Care Ltd
• Learning is supported and encouraged for all staff and sharing of ideas and good practice is promoted
• There is effective management and implementation of change
• Staff are supported and encouraged with their continuing professional development to increase job satisfaction and motivation

The following are a list of Mandatory Training Courses:

Basic First Aid Level 2, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Epilepsy Awareness, Equality Act 2010, Fire Safety Awareness, Food Safety Level 1, Infection Control, Manual Handling for low risk environments, Medication Level 2, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding of Children (Child Protection) Level 2 (VTQ), Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Anaphylaxis Awareness Level 2, Diabetes Awareness, Health & Safety in the workplace Level 2, Health & Safety Awareness, The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism (HEE) Teir 1, Autism Awareness.
